About

A marketing assistant by day, a complete introvert by night and a round the clock book lover. I have always had a love for reading from a young age, constantly carrying a new illustrated book everywhere I went and always looked forward to evening time where I would either snuggle on the couch with my mum or hop into my bed and we would read a chapter of Harry Potter together. My mum always told me that any time I was naughty I would be grounded by not being able to read at the end of my day which always made me think twice about bad behavior again.

As I got older my love for reading didn’t really fade, I hit my pre-teens and found the books of Jacqueline Wilson and fell hard and fast. I loved how Wilson could make books for young people that were really interesting to read and touched on real life issues that young people likely don’t know how to deal with.

When I hit my mid teens and school started to get fairly hectic I put books aside for a while, only going online now and then to read and write FanFiction when I was studying a boring topic and WiFi happened to be available.

I soon rediscovered my missing piece however when I started my first full time job working as a graphic design apprentice. My workplace was 4 and a half miles away and being on an apprentice wage, I was too broke and stingy to buy a bus pass so walked the journey every day. When I got far too many strange looks on the main roads for singing and dancing to my Ipod full of musical theatre songs on route I decided to rely on librivox* and listen to audiobooks on my route. It was fantastic! I never got through so many books in such a short space of time. I then got my next and current job which was a further distance so the walking plan went out of the window and the pocket had to be dipped into for a bus pass. My poor dusty kindle that I had received as a birthday present then started getting the love and attention that it deserved. As much as I hate public transport at times I really do enjoy sitting down on the bus and pulling out my kindle to get lost in a good story.

So here you have it, you now know about my extremely thrilling story about how I love books…You have probably learned that I’m a pro at writing mindlessly and tend to go into my own little world and go off the subject.

Long story short, if you’ve skipped past my very exciting drabble (Like I would have done) I’m a big fan of romance novels….the slushier the story, the better in my opinion. I also enjoy reading humor, teen fiction and thrillers and I’m not too prude or proud to say I also love steamy eroticas!
